For her third ever live performance with a full band, the incredibly soulful Madison McFerrin reached beyond her unique a cappella sound, dubbed “soul-a-pella” by Questlove, for an enraptured crowd at Glasshaus. The set spanned five of her most popular songs from her debut record and three unreleased works, for which an immense applause bodes well.

She was accompanied by three harmony singers – Zaniah, Nicholas Ryan Gant, Jazmin McCray – pianist Rafferty Swink, bassist Evan Lawrence, and drummer Jaylen Petinaud. It was an evening of high energy, healing, group claps, and a reminder that soul is the most powerful force in the world.⁠
